- 01
Choose the right pallet
Use a clean, undamaged pallet rated for your weight. Standard wooden Euro or UK pallets are suitable for most shipments.
- 02
Stack with weight in mind
Place heaviest items at the base, distribute weight evenly, and never let goods overhang the pallet edge.
- 03
Protect fragile goods
Use bubble wrap, foam or corner protectors. Mark fragile items clearly. Glass and ceramics need extra cushioning.
- 04
Wrap thoroughly
Use stretch wrap from base to top, applying tension. Aim for at least 5 full rotations including the pallet edges.
- 05
Strap if needed
For tall or unstable loads, add 2–3 plastic or metal banding straps over the wrap for added security.
- 06
Label clearly
Attach the Swift consignment label to two sides of the pallet at eye level. Remove or cover any old labels.
